LANXESS at WISA 2014 Biennial Conference and Exhibition, Booth 12-13

Business Unit LPT to increase its foot-print in Sub-Saharan Africa during the exhibition

Johannesburg – Specialty chemicals company LANXESS will for the first time be showcasing the effectiveness of its products at the Water Institute of Southern Africa (WISA) 2014 Biennial Conference and Exhibition.  The exhibition will take place in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, South Africa on 25 -29 May 2014.

As a leader in water and liquid purification technologies, LANXESS will use the platform to officially introduce its water purification technologies to the industry role players, and customers at the exhibition.

“The exhibition will be used as platform to promote our technologies and products while at the same time building good working relationships with the potential customers and the industry role players. We will also use the opportunity to demonstrate how our Lewatit ION exchange resins and Lewabrane Reverse Osmosis membrane elements work to the customers,” said Martha Kotze,  South Africa Technical Sales Director of the Liquid Purification Technologies business unit at LANXESS.

LANXESS distributors, Cwenga and Protea Mining Chemicals, will also form part of the exhibition in order to showcase some of the liquid purification products to the market.  

WISA’s primary mandate is to provide a forum for the exchange of information and views to improve water resource management in Southern Africa. Its objectives include inter alia ‘the promotion of and application of scientific and engineering knowledge and management skills in the planning, design, construction, maintenance, investigation, research and education in connection with the natural and controlled water cycle’.

This five days WISA exhibition aims to attract hundreds of industry role players in the water field from all over the continent.
The Liquid Purification Technologies business unit (LPT) is one of the world's foremost suppliers of products for treating water and other liquid media. LPT holds a leading position in the development and production of ion exchange resins and are very active in a new business line for reverse osmosis membrane elements.
